About Doodle God 2

Doodle God 2 is an element-combining puzzle game by JoyBits. You begin as a god with only four elements: air, earth, fire and water. Combine any two and, if they make sense together, you discover something new – fire and earth make lava, water and air make steam, and so on. Each new discovery can be combined again, until you have built up animals, people, tools, buildings and much more.

There is no timer and no way to lose, just a growing tree of discoveries and the challenge of finding every single one. Elements are sorted into groups, so you can see how many remain undiscovered in each – which makes it very hard to stop when only a few are missing. The humour is part of the fun: some combinations follow real-world logic, others are delightful puns.

How to play Doodle God 2

  • Pick a group, then an element from it, on the left.
  • Pick a second element on the right.
  • If the pair works, the new element appears and joins your collection.

The game is played with the mouse only.

Stuck? Hints, gentlest first

Hint 1 – try the obvious

Most combinations follow real-world logic. Fire and water make steam; earth and water make swamp. Think about what two things would create together.

Hint 2 – combine an element with itself

Some elements combine with a copy of themselves. Try pairing a new element with itself before moving on.

Hint 3 – revisit old groups

Every new element can unlock combinations with the ones you already have. When you are stuck, go back through older groups with your newest discovery.

back in 2010

Doodle God by JoyBits turned the old idea of combining elements into one of the most addictive puzzle games on Flash portals, and the sequel kept people hunting for the last few missing combinations for weeks.
