About Governor of Poker
Governor of Poker is a Texas Hold'em game by Youda Games, wrapped in a Wild West adventure. You arrive in Texas with a little money and a big ambition. Town by town, you sit down in saloons against computer opponents, win their money and use it to buy property. Win enough and the whole state – and the title of governor – is yours.
Between hands, it plays like a light strategy game: choosing which tables to join, managing your bankroll and deciding when to invest in property. At the table, it is proper poker, with betting rounds, bluffs and opponents who play differently from one another.
How to play
- Choose a table in a town's saloon.
- Bet, call, raise or fold with the buttons on screen.
- Win money to buy property and unlock new towns.
The game is played with the mouse only.

Most hands are not worth playing. Folding weak starting hands keeps your bankroll alive for the good ones.

Play tables you can afford to lose at. Moving up to big buy-ins too soon is the quickest way to go broke.
